ETAP®, a global leader in software solutions for electrical systems, announces the release of Caneco 2023.
Following the announcement in April 2023 of ETAP joining forces with ALPI, a European leader in the automated calculation, sizing, and design software for low voltage electrical installations. The Caneco software range from ALPI is now part of ETAP’s electrical design software portfolio.
The new Caneco 2023 release provides electrical contractors and design firms with innovative solutions to efficiently design and perform calculations based on the relevant electrical standards. This new release addresses the latest requirements for low voltage electrical design and is ready for use.
Accelerating the energy transition, the new photovoltaic integration module of Caneco 2023 supports the design of photovoltaic systems paired to new and existing commercial and industrial building, initially for users in France.
The key features & capabilities of Caneco 2023 are listed below:
Improved compatibility
- Compatibility with 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024 versions of Revit®.
- Compatibility with Autodesk AutoCAD® 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024 (64 bit only), AutoCAD® MEP 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024 (64 bit only) graphics platforms, 2023 version of AutoCAD® OEM (64 bit only).
Increased interoperability
- New export in CSV format of terminal devices, cable trays, distributions, circuits, rooms, cables
- Bi-directional dialogue with DIALux Evo to integrate top-tier lighting calculations in designs crafted with Caneco 2023
- Improved interface with SEE Electrical, an electrical engineering software by ETAP. SEE Electrical enables electrical installers to easily create electrical schematics and panel layouts.
Maximized performance
- Faster processing time for automatic cable routing for BIM applications
Accelerated sustainability
- New Photovoltaic (PV) integration module, powered by the first cloud-based calculation engine suited for low voltage and PV installations (available in France only).
- Improved EVCI support including custom catalogues
- Improved power loss calculation considering Joule effects
